School Bus Hit and Run

A School Bus carrying 11 students was involved in a Hit and Run Friday. 

Greenville County Schools Director of Communications, Beth Brotherton, said the accident happened as the bus was crossing the intersection of Morton and McKinney Roads when a car hit the drivers side front wheel then drove away. 

The bus was carrying 11 students from Bell's Crossing Elementary. 

One student had minor injuries.  ÉMS was on the scene, but the child's parent arrived before the emergency vehicle left, therefore was not transported to the hospital.

The other ten students boarded another bus to be taken home.  Highway Patrol is investigating.

A Greenville County Schools bus was involved in a hit and run wreck at 3:40 this afternoon in Simpsonville.

The bus was crossing the intersection at Morton and McKinney Roads when a car coming from the opposite direction ran into the driver’s side front wheel and then drove away.

Eleven students who attend Bell’s Crossing Elementary were on board.

One student was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The other ten students were taken home on another bus. Parents were notified by phone. Highway Patrol is investigating.
