Strong storms crossed over the Upstate Sunday evening, knocking out power for many Duke Energy customers.

Although Duke was able to restore power fairly quickly last evening, some establishments are still trying to operate without electricity this morning.

According to Duke Energy's Power Outage Map, about 118 customers are waiting for power to be restored in Anderson.

Most of the outages are near AnMed Health Medical Center and on Highway 24 near the Highway 28 intersection.

A few others are waiting for power restoration in the Honea Path, Liberty and Powdersville area.

The National Weather Service reported downed trees in the Anderson and Pickens area due to the storm.

If you are experiencing a power outage, contact Duke Energy by texting OUT to 57801, report online or call 800.POWERON (800.769.3766).
