The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in a shooting that happened Monday afternoon on the Utica Mill Hill.

18 year old Robert Martain Robertson of Seneca was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center on a Temporary Custody Order on Tuesday at around 5:22pm.

Investigators will obtain arrest warrants against Robertson today (Wednesday) on charges of Attempted Murder and Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime.

The victim, a man, was found shot on Monday shortly after 5 pm at an address on D Street and was airlifted to AnMed Hospital.

Oconee County Deputies continue to investigate a Utica Mill Hill shooting that happened around 5:12pm Monday evening, hoping the public can offer some leads. 

The victim, a homeless man that frequents the area was found  on D street with blood on his clothing from a gun shot wound. 

Paramedics on the scene provided first aid and had the man, who remains nameless at this time for safety reasons, airlifted to AnMed Medical Center for care.

(Walhalla, SC)--The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help today in its investigation into a Monday afternoon shooting that occurred on the Utica Mill Hill.

The Sheriff’s Office E-911 Communications Center received a phone call yesterday afternoon around 5:12pm in regards to reports of a male that reportedly had been shot. 

The man was found by the caller at an address on D Street with blood on a part of his clothing. 

Deputies and paramedics responded to the scene and rendered first aid, including the use of a tourniquet on the victim of the shooting by a deputy from the Uniform Patrol Division. 

Arrangements were made to have the victim airlifted from the scene and the victim was airlifted to AnMed hospital. 

Investigators from the Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene in order to gather evidence and continue the investigation. 

According to investigators, the victim of the shooting is a homeless man and is someone who is known to frequent the Utica Mill Hill area. 

The victim’s name is being withheld at this time due to safety and health privacy reasons as the Sheriff’s Office continues to receive updates on his condition as he remains admitted to the hospital. 

Investigators also believe, at this time, that the victim may have suffered his injuries at another location on the Utica Mill Hill and then made his way to the D Street location.
