The Number Of Flu Deaths Has Risen in South Carolina

State health officials say six more people died of flu in South Carolina during this flu season. New reports from DHEC shows the total number of deaths in South Carolina from the virus this season has risen to 53. Most of those deaths were ages 65 and older. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says between 3,000 and 49,000 people die from flu each year.
