The parents of an infant have been arrested by the Greenville County sheriff's office after an infant showed up at the Greenville Memorial Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with severe brain injuries

During the course of investigation it was discovered that the infant sustained severe head trauma, which was determined to have been caused by the infant’s father, 38 year-old Robert Alan Beach. Investigators conducted an extensive investigation and also learned that Beach was also under the influence of methamphetamine and marijuana while in a position of trust with the child.

Beach was arrested and charged with Child Abuse with Great Bodily Harm and the infant’s mother, 40 year-old Pamela Sherlin Kimmons was arrested and charged with Child Neglect, after investigators determined she failed to render aid to the child, and for allowing Beach to supervise the child with knowledge he was under the influence of drugs.

Kimmons has been released on a $50,000 and Beach remains in the Greenville County Detention Center on a No Bond. At the time the child is in custody of the Department of Social Services.
