Last night, at approximately 9:15pm, deputies from the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office responded to 19 W. Main Street in reference to subject who was looking into a residential window of a young girl. While deputies were still en route, dispatch received information that the subject, later identified as 32 year-old, Tiray Jamal Sanders, was in a physical altercation with someone outside.

Once deputies arrived on scene, they discovered Sanders in possession of a knife and another man suffering from at least one stab wound. Deputies initiated an investigation and learned that Sanders, who has no affiliation with the family at 19 W. Main St., began looking into the window of a young girl. Once confronted by occupants at the residence, an altercation ensued where Sanders obtained a knife; stole items from the minor child and proceeded to punch her multiple times before stabbing an adult-male victim in the leg. Deputies were able to quickly detain Sanders and rendered aid to the victim by applying a tourniquet.

The stab victim was transported to the hospital and is expected to recover. Sander has been charged with Peeping Tom, Attempted Murder, Armed Robbery, Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime and Assault and Battery 1st Degree. Sanders was transported to the GCDC where he remains on No Bond.
