Top 10 SC Colleges & Universities

With the first "early decision" college-application deadline looming on Nov. 1, the personal-finance website WalletHub today released its 2020's Best College & University Rankings. 

Along with their national list, where MIT, Harvard, Princeton, Yale and Stanford held the top five positions, WalletHub also ranked the Top 10 Colleges & Universities in South Carolina and four out of the top five are upstate institutions. 

Clemson University was number one, followed by Furman University in second, Wofford College was number three, fourth is North Greenville Univerisity and USC was fifth. 

In a closer look at some of the metrics used, Clemson was number one in South Carolina for graduation rate and number two for post-graduation median salary. 

Furman was ranked number one for Faculty to Student Ratio and number three for Graduation Rate. 

Wofford was ranked second in South Carolina for both Faculty to Student Ratio and Graduation Rate.
