Prisma Health – which is the company that was created after Greenville Health System and Palmetto Health joined forced – announced on Thursday that they had selected a new CEO.

Mark S. O’Halla, who is currently the CEO of McLaren Health Care in Michigan, will take over the job in August.

O’Halla reportedly has more than 30 years of experiences as a health care executive.

Prisma’s current co-CEO Mike Riordan, who used to head GHS, will retire on Friday, while co-CEO Charles Beaman Jr, who headed Palmetto Health, will leave his position when O’Halla takes over.

The national search for a new CEO began ostensibly at the formation of Prisma, with a full search having officially begun at the start of 2019.
