About The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club

The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club was started by P.D. Meadors in 1938 as the Red Shield Boys Club. In 1991, The Salvation Army and Boys & Girls Clubs of America developed a national partnership and through this, programs merged to combine the successful youth programs of The Salvation Army with Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s award-winning curriculum. The Club serves children by providing educational, physical, recreational and social programs. Its mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. In addition to being an affiliate of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the Club is also a partner with Greenville County Schools. The Club is located in The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center and in schools across Greenville County. For more information please see or call 864-235-6047.
