Savvy Senior Workshop

Better Business Bureau Education Foundation (BBBEF) is hosting a Savvy Senior Workshop to help educate older Upstate residents about how to protect their identify from scammers.

The workshop is designed to provide preventative tips to seniors on how to spot and avoid identity theft and scams, focusing on empowering seniors living and working in the Upstate with the information they need to remain protected against the personal and financial threats.  Seniors are a demographic that some scammers think are easy to take advantage of. 

At the event, which will be held in Simpsonville, seniors will learn about scams and will receive the latest tips on how to spot scams and identity theft threats before they become a victim.

Education materials will be available with the necessary steps to take to protect your identity and what to do if you are a future victim of identity theft.  There will be information on the latest scams affecting seniors in teh Upstate, too.

Thsi workshop will be held on Thursday, May 30 from 2-3:30pm at the Five Forks Library, located at 104 Sunnydale Dr, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
