Another new model car is going to be built in South Carolina.  Volvo Cars has unveiled the new S60, the first Volvo to be manufactured in the U-S, at the company’s new factory in rural Ridgeville, SC, north of Charleston.

Prices for the standard “momentum” trim start at around $35,800 with the high end, plug-in hybrid starting around $55,400.

The vehicle is a 4 door sedan and should be available by the end of the year.  By 2021, Volvo hopes to also make an SUV, the XC90, at the plant and employ about 4,000 people, with about 2,000 starting by the end of this year.
