We may only be in the middle of summer, but it’s never too late for some back to school prep.

True, the 4th of July fireworks are only a few days behind us, but for the folks at Carolina Family Services, now’s the perfect time to get ready to help kids as the new school year approaches.

That’s why Carolina Family Services is organizing a “Back 2 School” book bag drive here in the Upstate.

The goal is to help out K-5th grade students in Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, Pickens and Abbeville.

What they need are your standard school supplies, namely: pencils, pens, notebooks, paper, erasers, calculators, markers, compositions books, book bags, binders, folders, crayons, staplers, tape, rulers, glue, and pretty much anything else you can think of that falls under the school supply umbrella.

If you have extra school stuff you’re willing to part ways with, you can stop by the two drop-off locations.

Here in Greenville that’s at 17 Memorial Medical Drive.

And in Spartanburg you can stop by 115 Southpointe Road.

The drive runs from now through August 5th.
