SCSO Announces Safety Check Points

The Spartanburg County Sheriff''s Office released the following statement Thursday. 

The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office will be conducting several public safety check points within the county of Spartanburg from May 24th to June 3rd, 2018.

During the public safety check point, officers will be looking for seatbelt and child restraint compliance and all other traffic laws.

Motorists will be asked for driver's license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance when they come through the public safety check point.

All public safety check points are conducted as part of the Highway Safety Grant.

Our goal is to reduce the number of trafficcollisions and aggressive driving incidents.

Our hope is to reduce the total vehicle accidents and injuries within the county.
