 [Walhalla, SC] – Crimestoppers of Oconee County, Inc. in partnership with the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help regarding an ongoing investigation into a theft of a car.

A deputy from the Uniform Patrol Division of the Sheriff’s Office spoke with the victim during the early morning hours of Saturday, November 4th in regards to the theft of a 1955 Chevy Bel Air from a residence on Woodfern Drive in the Westminster area.

The last time the victim saw the vehicle, according to the deputy, was around 7:30pm on Friday, November 3rd.  The Bel Air is champagne in color on the exterior and interior and is valued, according to the victim, at around $65,000.

Surrounding law enforcement agencies were notified of the stolen vehicle and the vehicle’s information has been entered into the National Crimes Information Center database.  The case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division of the Sheriff’s Office.
