Search Warrants Tell Of Hidden Cameras in GCSO

Other items seized at former sheriff's home

A search warrant has revealed that SLED agents found cameras and recording devices in their investigation of former sheriff Will Lewis at the Greenville County Sheriff's Office.

After Lewis was indicted on charges of misconduct and obstruction of justice, agents conducted searches of his office and agency-issued vehicle.

 Items found include an RF detector in Lewis' office, hidden cameras in smoke detectors in other department offices, and two clocks with recording devices in Lewis' vehicle.

According to the documents, employees told investigators Lewis had previously told them, "just remember things are always recorded."

SLED also executed a search warrant at Lewis' house and seized a number of items:

MacBook pro laptop

HP laptop

Multiple jump drives

memory stick

USB card

Sony camera

Sony digital recorder

Asus tablet


Multiple LG phones

Multiple Dell laptops

Multiple Sony computers

Dell chromebook


VHS tapes
