Shooting Suspect Arrested

Suspect in cookout shooting in custody

October 19, 2018 - 4:20 pm

One of three suspects charged in last Friday's shootout at the Cookout is being held without bond.

Six people were wounded when gunfire erupted from an argument in the parking lot of the restaurant on John B White Boulevard.  Police say most of them -- students of Dorman and Spartanburg High Schools -- were innocent bystanders.

Bond was denied this afternoon for 18-year-old Fredrick Lee Smith-Jackson.  He's charged with possession of a weapon in a violent crime and six counts of attempted murder.

Warrants are still out for Trevor Lamont Gist and Jarcoby Tramon Geter, both 18.
