Shooting Suspect Identified

A shooting suspect died Sunday after crashing a car on Sulphur Springs Drive.  

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office says two pedestrians were walking along the roadway around 5pm, when the suspect in a Hyundai pulled up behind them, got out of the vehicle and fired several shots at the victims, hitting both at least once. 

The suspected shooter got back into the vehicle and sped off, but crashed into a parked car.  That suspect was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital were he was pronounced dead. 

The Greenville County Coroner's office identified the man as 42-year-old Jamie Teasley of Greenville.  Teasley died of a gun shot wound to the chest. Authorities have not yet determined who shot Teasley.

One of the of the two pedestrians that were shot, was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.  The other victim ran from the scene and is still being saught by authorities.

The shooting is still under investigation by the Greenville County Sheriff office and the Coroner's Office.
