Spartanburg Police Investigating Foiled Robbery

An Upstate Chick-Fil-A employee said they were robbed outside of a Wells Fargo on WO Ezell in Spartanburg.

According to a report from the Spartanburg Police, they responded to an armed robbery call yesterday evening around 10:30 after the bandit approached the victim wearing a shirt wrapped around his face.

The victim reports getting off work and waiting in their car parked in the Wells Fargo parking lot when a man wearing a white tank-top shirt around his face knocked on his window with a gun. The victim was able to put their car in reverse when the robber opened the driver side door and pointed a gun at him.

The victim was able to leave before anything else happened. Bystanders at the Chick-Fil-A said they heard what were tires screeching and immediately called police.

The suspect is described as a man in his late teens to early 20s wearing green basketball shorts and white tank top. If you have any information you asked to call Spartanburg Police.
