Press Release from the Oconee Coutny Sherriff's Office

The SC Law Enforcement Division (SLED) Laboratory has established a DNA profile from specimens collected from the human remains found in Seneca on June 24th.

The Seneca Police Department collected specimens from both families of the two missing women from Oconee County identified as, Ms. Faith Roach and Ms. Laura Anders.
DNA profiles from those specimens were also established.

Based on the laboratory analysis, the human remains found in Seneca are NOT those of Ms. Faith Roach or Ms. Laura Anders.

Anthropology studies continue on the remains.

The Oconee County Coroner’s Office has been in contact with the SLED Forensic Art Department and discussed about the probability of creating a three dimensional (3D) sculpture to assist with identifying this individual.

We will continue to coordinate this in the coming week.
