Suspected Arrested After Crashing During Chase

Anderson Police have a man in custody after a chase that damaged several vehicles. 

The intial call was about a stolen vehicle, which officers located and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver failed to stop. 

The ensuing chase involved seperate crashes of the suspects car, two patrol vehicles and at least one other vehilce near East Greenville Street and North Main in Anderson. 

One police officer was injured in one crash and treated at a hospital. 

The suspect fled on foot, but was apprehended at Tribble Street at Murray Avenue, and Police identified the suspect as Shamarcus Tyrell Adams he is now charged with failure to stop for blue lights, reckless driving and possession of a stolen vehicle.
