The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office issued the following press release Thursday:
The violent crime investigators with the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest earlier today for the shooting that occurred on Archer Rd. last night.
The suspect is Thomas Cole Seay, W/M, DOB: 030102, 413 Fernwood Dr., Spartanburg, SC, 29307, and he is charged with Attempted Murder and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime.
The victim remains in critical condition at a local hospital, and a possible motive for the incident has yet to be determined.
Seay will appear before a magistrate for arraignment tomorrow morning at 11:00 AM. Despite Seay’s arrest, our investigation remains active.
