Greenville, S.C.— Ten at the Top (TATT) invites potential Hughes Investment grant applicants to the Hughes Investments Elevate Upstate Community Vibrancy Grant Workshop which is set to take place on Wednesday, June 27 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Ten at the Top office. This is an informative workshop to help potential applicants put together a persuasive grant application.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for our potential applicants to garner the tools and insight to fully maximize their applications,” Dean Hybl, TATT’s Executive Director, said. “If any Upstate residents are interested in receiving funding for community-oriented programs that promote our region, I encourage them to attend and apply.”

The workshop will detail grant background and overall tips for the application process including important deadlines, application requirements and documents to submit. Kimbrell Hughes, from Hughes Investments, will provide insight for grant applicants and there will also be a panel of past grant finalists who will touch on topics such as formalizing an idea into a successful grant application, determining a project budget and timeline and gaining community support and project partners. The workshop will conclude with an audience question and answer.

Ten at the Top, through a funding commitment from Phil Hughes and Hughes Investments Inc., has established the Hughes Investments Elevate Upstate Grants. The purpose of the Elevate Upstate grants is to identify and provide initial funding support for community-based programs that promote community and economic vibrancy in local areas across the Upstate.

The initiative will award two grants annually with each being for up to $5,000 to entities including neighborhood associations, civic or community-based organizations, nonprofit organizations or local governments that are committed to developing and implementing programs designed to increase local vibrancy in communities within the Upstate.

The initial grant interest forms are due August 1 and the final applications are due September 15.

Visit the Ten at the Top grant webpage for additional information about the grant and to view past winners. This event is free but advanced registration is required. Further information and registration may be found at the Ten at the Top website.

Ten at the Top’s office is located at 124 Verdae Blvd. in Greenville. The event will be held in the fifth floor conference room.
