Deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office have charged three individuals in connection with a large-scale marijuana grow, located at 109 Pearson Lake Road, in Greer.

Deputies were initially called to the location after receiving a report regarding a kidnapping, which was revealed unfounded. While investigating that complaint, deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from a barn on the property. During the course of investigation, deputies obtained a search warrant which yielded 76 marijuana plants; some of which 7-8 feet in height. The deputies described the operation as sophisticated, with elaborate lighting and ventilation systems. It is unknown how long the operation had been going on.

The case resulted in the arrest of 41 year-old, Jose Angel Curbelo-Horta, 27 year-old Yanet Bazan Baez and 43 year-old, Elieser Curbelo Rosales. All three suspects have been charged with one count of Manufacturing Marijuana.
