A judge has thrown out a couple of misconduct indictments ahead of the upcoming trial of suspended Greenville County Sheriff Will Lewis.

His lawyers had argued that the two counts in question each accused Lewis of more than one offense.

Indictments must confine each count to one allegation.

Those counts will be removed from his indictments, while the rest of his charges will remain in place.

Lewis was charged with obstruction of justice and misconduct in office after his former assistant Savanah Nabors accused him of sexually harassing and assaulting her during a business trip in 2017.
