Woman Accused Of Bringing In Contraband

A woman was arrested on Sunday after she reportedly tried to bring methamphetamine and other contraband into Tyger River Correctional Institution.

According to a South Carolina Department of Corrections news release, Christy Curtis was arrested during inmate visitation, where she was reportedly trying to introduce meth and other contraband into the facility.

Around 80 grams of methamphetamine were reportedly in three separate baggies hidden in Curtis' body.

Curtis was charged with attempting to furnish a prisoner with contraband, conspiracy and trafficking methamphetamine.
