Stacie Bartro

Born in our great Nation’s Capital, Stacie grew up in Annapolis and Laurel MD.  She traveled south to attend Bob Jones University earning a degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting with a minor in Psychology.  While still in school, Stacie interned in the 1330 and 910 WORD News Department then filled the position of Producer for the Ralph Bristol Show.  She began her broadcasting career in 2000 as a Traffic Reporter for Metro Networks.   Desiring to pursue a career in news, life took her in a different direction as Star 103 needed to fill the mid-day air shift while Kevin Casey battled cancer (God rest his soul.)  She spent a short time as News Director for Barnstable’s Rock 101 WROQ, then back to Entercom to work with The WALK for two years then WSPA Magic 98.9.  In 2014 she left to start her own Imaging Voice Over business and to this day works with many stations throughout the U.S.  Twenty years later, pursuing that news career is back on life’s track and is currently part of the 106.3 WORD News Team as a part time Reporter/contributor.  Stacie is a notorious junkie for Dateline, Forensic Files, The First 48… any of those investigative reporting shows and Netflix documentaries.   Got a news tip or story idea?  E-mail
